Golf- und Landclub Achensee

Pertisau, Tyrol & Salzburg, Austria

Golf- und Landclub Achensee in Pertisau is one of Austria's oldest clubs, established in 1934 and among the first three golf clubs founded in the country. The 18-hole course spreads across 62 hectares at roughly 1,000 metres elevation on the shore of the Achensee, Tyrol's largest lake. The layout plays to par 71 over 6,105 yards, with gently rolling fairways that belie a demanding difficulty rating; the course edges into the Karwendel nature reserve at its furthest point. Membership of Leading Golf Courses Austria and the 'Golf Club of the Year 2020' award reflect the consistent quality of the playing surfaces and the setting. The covered driving range affords striking views across the lake.
