Wimbledon Common Golf Club & London Scottish Golf Club

London, Surrey & London, England

Wimbledon Common Golf Club and London Scottish Golf Club share one of London's most distinctive and historic 18-hole layouts, routed across the open common land of Wimbledon Common in south-west London. The two clubs, with separate clubhouses positioned about a mile apart, each maintain their own card and starting arrangements on the shared course, which has hosted golf since the nineteenth century. The layout is a bunkerless, open-air test where the common's natural topography and public footpath network create a uniquely urban-pastoral atmosphere. Accuracy and course management replace sand-avoidance as the primary skill tests, and the setting - with Wimbledon's rooftops visible in the distance - is unlike any other course in the capital.
