West Golf

West Golf, located in the Troisdorf area south of Cologne near Königswinter, is a public facility opened in 2009 that combines a nine-hole training course with a more challenging nine-hole players course for a total of 18 holes of varied golf. The players course features an island green modelled on the famous par-3 17th at TPC Sawgrass — a bold design choice that gives casual and experienced golfers alike a memorable signature hole. Floodlighting, modern video analysis systems and covered practice bays make it a facility geared towards improvement as much as enjoyment. The daily-fee model without club membership requirements means West Golf functions as an open-access venue for the greater Cologne-Bonn conurbation, filling a role that few other courses in the area cover.
