Koninklijke Haagsche Golf- en Country Club

Wassenaar, Netherlands, Netherlands

Koninklijke Haagsche Golf- en Country Club is the oldest golf club in the Netherlands, founded in Wassenaar in the late nineteenth century and still occupying its original coastal dune and woodland estate. The course is held in the highest regard among Dutch golfers and has hosted major national and European tour events over its long history. The layout traverses a landscape of mature dune ridges, pine woodland and characteristic sandy rough that gives it a character closer to a links-influenced inland design than any other course in the country. The club’s Royal designation and longstanding prestige make it one of the truly historic golfing institutions of continental Europe.
