Bosjökloster Golfklubb
Skåne, Sweden
Bosjökloster Golfklubb is a parkland course set between the twin lakes of Östra and Västra Ringsjön in the heart of Skåne, near the town of Höör. The 18-hole layout was designed by Douglas Brasier and first became playable in 1974, with the final nine holes completed the following year. It plays to par 72 over a course that features tall trees, well-defined fairways and greens with cleverly hidden undulations that punish imprecise approaches. The lakeside setting gives the course a peaceful, pastoral character and provides memorable views on several holes. At just under 5,500 metres from the back tees, it is not an overly long test, but the quality of the green complexes ensures that scoring well demands more than just solid ball-striking. The club is open to visiting golfers and offers a welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere typical of established Swedish provincial clubs.
