Golf Club Axenstein

Golf Club Axenstein is a nine-hole mountain course in Morschach, Canton Schwyz, set on a natural terrace approximately 700 metres above sea level with views over Lake Lucerne. The layout plays to par 31 over 1,666 metres and demands accurate short-iron play throughout. Significant elevation changes, blind shots and small greens characterise the routing, which was reimagined in 2006 and 2007. The tight fairways and alpine terrain mean that distance is largely irrelevant - control and course management are what matter here. The club\'s setting above the lake gives it a scenic character entirely its own, and the historic connection to the former Axenstein grand hotel adds a layer of heritage rarely found on courses of this size.
