Lykia Links Golf Antalya, the golf course of the Lykia World & Links Golf Antalya resort, sits on the coast at Denizyaka in Manavgat, east of Belek. Designed by the American architect Perry O. Dye and opened in 2008, this 18-hole, par-73 layout was billed as one of the Mediterranean's first true seaside links courses. Stretching to around 6,950 metres from the back tees, it brings the hallmarks of links golf to the Turkish shoreline, with sweeping dunes, deep pot bunkers and firm, fast-running fairways. The exposed seaside setting puts wind, ground contour and the bounce of the ball at the heart of every decision, asking players to flight their shots and think their way around rather than simply attack through the air. The result is a bold, distinctive contrast to the parkland courses of the surrounding Antalya golf region, rewarding imagination and control.
