Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course
South Wales, Wales
Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club is one of the finest links courses in Wales, occupying a stretch of wild sand dune country on the South Wales coast between Porthcawl and Bridgend. The eighteen-hole layout was laid out by Harry Colt in the 1920s and winds through classic dune terrain, with natural hollows, fescue rough and the wind off the Bristol Channel providing a constant examination of links golf skills. Views take in the Channel, the Gower Peninsula and the Welsh mountains on clear days. The club's championship credentials are well established and it has hosted numerous prestigious amateur events over the decades. Visitors require a handicap certificate and prior booking.
