Golfclub Mettmann occupies a position in the hill country between Düsseldorf and Wuppertal, in the transition zone where the Rhine plain gives way to the Bergisches Land uplands. The club serves the town of Mettmann, historically known as the site of the original Neanderthal fossil discovery, and draws members from the wider south-eastern Düsseldorf area. The course uses the natural terrain to create an engaging layout with varied challenges, and the elevated setting provides pleasant views over the surrounding countryside. The club is an active member association with a structured competitive programme and is open to visiting golfers with a valid handicap certificate.
