Sallandsche Golfclub 'de Hoek'

Netherlands, Netherlands

Sallandsche Golfclub de Hoek is one of the older established clubs in the Netherlands, with a course that draws together two distinctly different landscapes on a single 18-hole layout near Diepenveen. The opening holes wind through ancient forest with old-growth trees that demand precise placement off the tee, while the middle section opens out into the typical Sallandse coulissenlandschap of hedgerows, fields and screens of trees. A centuries-old oak standing between holes one and six has become the symbolic heart of the club. The final holes return to a more enclosed woodland character, giving the round a satisfying sense of rhythm and variety. The combination of forest and open countryside makes de Hoek one of the most scenically varied courses in Overijssel.
