Ashburnham Golf Club
Burry Port, South Wales, Wales
Ashburnham Golf Club at Burry Port on the Carmarthenshire coast is one of the oldest and most respected links clubs in Wales. The course stretches along the Gwendraeth Estuary and Burry Inlet, with dunes, rough grasses and coastal winds combining to produce a genuine links examination. It has hosted prestigious Welsh amateur championships and is regularly ranked among the finest courses in Wales. The natural topography is dramatic in places, particularly on the stretch of holes running closest to the shore, where the views across Carmarthen Bay towards the Gower Peninsula add to the theatre of the round.
