Strathtyrum Course

The Strathtyrum Course is the most parkland-influenced of the St Andrews Links layouts, occupying the inland section of the Links estate where mature trees provide definition and shelter absent from the more exposed coastal courses. Managed by St Andrews Links Trust, it is designed to be welcoming for golfers of all abilities and is often the recommended starting point for those visiting St Andrews with limited links experience. Despite its more sheltered character, the Strathtyrum still plays on genuine links turf and offers an authentic if gentler encounter with the St Andrews Links terrain. It serves an important role in making the Home of Golf accessible to recreational players and families.
