The Castle Course

The Castle Course is the most dramatic of the six St Andrews Links Trust courses, perched on clifftop ground above the North Sea to the south of the town. Opened in 2008, it offers sweeping coastal panoramas and a demanding links test that rewards precise shotmaking. Exposed to the prevailing sea winds, the course plays very differently depending on conditions, with several holes hugging the cliff edge and commanding spectacular views across the Fife coastline and beyond. As part of the publicly managed St Andrews Links, it attracts visiting golfers who want a modern championship links experience alongside the historic Old Course. The Castle Course is among the most scenically striking venues in Scottish golf.
