Golf de Gif-sur-Yvette Chevry

Paris Region, France

Golf de Gif-Chevry is a genuine 9-hole course set in the Chevreuse Valley in Gif-sur-Yvette, Essonne, about 30 minutes south of Paris. Designed by architect John Harris and opened in 1976, it is the only non-compact 9-hole course in the Essonne department. The layout measures 2,438 metres on the outward nine and 2,554 metres on the return, with slightly different configurations that allow the course to be played as a varied 18-hole experience. Despite relatively flat terrain, the challenge here comes from narrow treelined fairways that demand straight driving, well-bunkered greens, and several water hazards that test short-game composure. Part of the UGOLF network under the name UGOLF Gif-Chevry, the course opens seven days a week and makes a rewarding destination for golfers based in the Essonne or visiting the Vallée de Chevreuse, one of the most attractive natural areas in the Paris Region.
